Prominently located in a lovingly restored, early 18th century villa at the tip of Balluta Bay, Barracuda, (est. 1978) has been, and very much still is, one of Malta’s longest established fine dining restaurants. It’s a picture perfect restaurant for a romantic occasion to entertain special guests or for holiday makers wanting something more exclusive. Complimentary parking (three hours) is a short distance away at Le Mèridien hotel.
Barracuda’s menu is finely tuned and selective with each dish containing the freshest of ingredients. Seafood is the main feature on the menu with fresh fish and shellfish mouthwateringly cooked and presented. The wine list is definitely worth contemplating on: a lovingly selected cellar of local, European and new world wines are available as well as a good selection of champagnes.
