Nestled snugly in the centre of ‘Il-Menqa’ (the fishermen‘s mooring place) in Marsalforn, Gozo, the Pulena Restaurant is a family-run eatery now in its 21st year of existence. It is ably managed by the second generation of the Cardona family; thus, guaranteeing Pulena’s original maxims of exquisite healthy food, efficient service and friendly atmosphere.
The menu list at the Pulena leans heavily towards Mediterranean cuisine with an accent on genuine traditional dishes. Fresh fish is guaranteed every day as long as fishermen can venture out to sea. The ever popular pasta dishes are all served with freshly-made pasta. Two menu items stand out and are guaranteed to satisfy the taste buds of the discerning diner; the traditional ravioli filled with local fresh sheep cheese and the local rabbit dish braised in white wine and garnished with fresh local herbs.
