Scruples Kitchen & Bar
Scruples Kitchen & Bar, specialising in traditional Maltese cuisine, fresh fish, shell fish, grills and Mediterranean specials, was established way back in 1956, at the time known as Balluta Café. Situated in an idyllic location in St Julian’s overlooking Balluta Bay, Scruples, run by the Grech family, was one of the first restaurants to open in this popular area.
The restaurant is located in Balluta Buildings – a historically important building of the early 20th century designed by the well-known Maltese architect Joseph Psaila, boasting an Art Nouveau design with an Italian influence.
Throughout the years Scruples has prospered and become well-known on the island with both tourists and local patrons alike for its genuine fine cuisine and service. Reservations are always recommended to avoid disappointment.
One can enjoy Malta’s food, wine and the Maltese culture when choosing to dine at Scruples Kitchen & Bar.
