The Malta Tourism Authority Quality Assured seal for restaurants

The Malta Tourism Authority Quality Assured seal for restaurants

The MTA Quality Assured (QA) seal for restaurants was launched last October by the Minister for Tourism, Dr. Edward Zammit Lewis and the MTA CEO Mr. Paul Bugeja. The scope of the QA seal is to give due recognition to restaurants that offer high quality standards in service, hospitality, food and general environment.  The QA seal is designed for all types of licensed restaurants and all are potentially eligible to be recognised for their high quality standards.

The QA Seal will be a guideline for potential customers to assist them in making an informed decision about the best places to eat on the Maltese Islands.  Following the successful launch of the voluntary scheme 81 restaurants applied and today 71 of these will be awarded with the QA seal for the first time.  The certification is valid for a two-year period.

The MTA successfully operates two other quality schemes under the same umbrella logo.  These are the QA seal for destination management companies and the QA seal for visitor attractions.
